Going Forward - The Plan to Maintain & Improve Mobility
The South Western Region Metropolitan Planning Organization (SWRMPO) is pleased to announce the endorsement of Going Forward - The Plan to Maintain & Improve Mobility. Going Forward is the official Long Range Transportation Plan for the South Western Region, covering the time period between, 2011-2040.
Going Forward provides a "blueprint" for transportation investment in the eight towns of the South Western Region: Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton. Going Forward serves as a guide for developing a transportation system that is accessible, safe, and reliable, thereby contributing to a higher quality of life for the Region's residents.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) has developed a Draft Long-Range Transportation Plan for the State of Connecticut (2009 LRP)
The Draft 2009 LRTP will be available for public review from March 17, 2009 through April 30, 2009.
