From I-95 Take Exit 27A for Route 8/25 North. Exit Route 8/25 at Exit 2. To got to the City Hall, continue straight at the end of the ramp onto Congress Street. City Hall is on the left at intersection with Lyon Terrace. To go to the City Hall Annex, turn right at the end of the ramp onto Lafayette Square. Turn right at Fairfield Avenue, then left onto Lafayette Circle. Stay in middle lane to bear right onto Lafayette Boulevard, then turn left at John Street (first intersection after circle). City Hall Annex is on the right at the intersection with Broad Street. From Route 8/25 To go to the City Hall, take Exit 3 (Main Street) and stay to left and follow ramp for S. Main Street. At the second traffic light, turn right onto Congress Street. Bear left onto Lyon Terrace at next traffic light. To go to the City Hall Annex, take Exit 2 (Fairfield Avenue). At the end of the ramp, continue straight across Fairfield Avenue and onto Lafayette Circle. Stay in middle lane to bear right onto Lafayette Boulevard, then turn left at John Street (first intersection after circle). City Hall Annex is on the right at the intersection with Broad Street.

From Route 15 from the south:

Take Exit 49S for Route 25 South, Stay on Route 25 for about 3 miles. To go to the City Hall, take Exit 3 (Main Street) and follow the directions listed above for Route 8/25. To go to the City Hall Annex, take Exit 2 (Fairfield Avenue) and follow the directions listed above for Route 8/25.

From Route 15 from the north:

Take Exit 52 for Route 8 and Route 108. Stay to the left for Route 8 South. Continue staying to the left as the ramp splits for Route 8 South. Follow Route 8 South for about 3.4 miles. To go to the City Hall, take Exit 3 (Main Street) and follow the directions listed above for Route 8/25. To go to the City Hall Annex, take Exit 2 (Fairfield Avenue) and follow the directions listed above for Route 8/25.

By walking:

From Water Street Dock & Bridgeport Ferry Terminal: Walk along waterfront promenade toward exit, crossing under the New Haven rail line. At Water Street, turn right and follow sidewalk to traffic light at State Street. Cross Water Street and walk up State Street. After crossing Main Street and Broad Street, entrance to Chase Manhattan Bank will be on right side.
